ulián López Escobar was born in Madrid, at the San José Clinic on Cartagena Street, on October 3, 1982.

He spent his childhood in the Madrid neighborhood of San Blas, where he lives, and in the neighborhood of La Concepción, where he studied and where his parents' business was located. At the age of ten, he moved with his family to the town of Velilla de San Antonio, and later, as a result of his first triumphs in bullfighting, he acquired a small farm in Arganda del Rey. He currently distributes the stay between his house in Madrid and his break in the Extremadura farm "El Freixo", where he enjoys the countryside, the horses and his new livestock.

Julian is the youngest of his two brothers, Manuela and Ignacio. It has bullfighting history, because his father, of same name and nickname, was novillero and later banderillero. The family of his mother, Manuela Escobar, has also been close to bullfighting, as modest businessmen, especially of squares in the province of Toledo.

The experience is so intense th...at he asks his parents to admit him to the School of Bullfighting in Madrid. A short time later, when he was barely ten years old, he racked his first calf in Villamuelas, the hometown of his mother.

After several years as a calf, in which impacts by an innate precocity, he decides to debut with picadores. For reasons of his young age he can not do it in Spain, so he decides to travel to Mexico, where he will become an authentic idol. The debut with those of the castoreño dates on March 16, 1997 in Texcoco, cutting two ears. From there will come a wonderful season and overflowing with triumphs, common denominator in the race that would later be completed by the young right-handed.
